Julian Assange, a journalist, one of the creators of Wikileaks that has been revealing frightful but valid pieces of information that have never been proven wrong, this gentleman, Julian Assange has been in solitary confinement in the Ecuadorian embassy for more than 6 years, having asked asylum there, in London, when the U.K was about to send him to the U.S. Rafaël Correa, the former president had given him the Ecuadorian nationality. Assange was born Australian.
Now, he's spent nearly a year without the web, he has had very few visits. Doctors and Dentists are unavailable to him.
Yet, the U.N. decided 2 years ago that he should be freed. Go figure.

I've faced lots of struggle along my way... She worked as a brilliant and efficient English teacher in our high School for many years. Lately, she taught for 2 hours to the ATS. We mourn with them.
We will miss Eulalia's funny wit and precious friendship. She'd have liked that video.

So as I was checking the blog, I discovered that elllo.org in the Oral comprehension section of the column was not totally for free anymore. I think this is very sad. I wonder if their "business plan" will be successful... I wish they'd asked their users to chip in. Well, I might buy their lessons some day, who knows?

Where are we?

Remember our galaxy, the Milky Way.
It  is a spiral galaxy some 100,000–120,000 light-years in diameter. Ô my! 
The Milky Way contains 100–400 billion stars and our sun is on the outskirts of this galaxy.

But our galaxy, in spite of its hugeness is only a tiny part of the Universe.

In the Universe. it seems there are super clusters of galaxies.
Scientists called the super cluster in which our galaxy stands  Laniakea. 
This word means immeasurable heavens in Hawaiian. 

Laniakea stretches more than 500 million light-years across...
It contains 100,000 large galaxies.
