By now, you've all heard of the Edward Snowden and about the documents he leaked to the Guardian's journalists that proved the existence of an extensive  US NSA (National Security Agency)’s spying program called PRISM, which was designed to collect information about digital communications, allowing real-time online surveillance of US citizens.
That is of course absolutely unconstitutional and unacceptable. U.S. citizens can be disappointed.

President Obama helped unveil a bronze statue of activist Rosa Parks, whose 1955 refusal to give up her seat to a white man on a city bus in segregated Alabama was a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement. Parks became the first African-American woman to be honored with a full length statue in National Statuary Hall.

Changing the world is not easy and it takes times and many men and women like Rosa parks to change the world for the better.

Edward Irving "Ed" Koch (pron.: /ˈkɒtʃ/

Ed Koch was a famous New York City mayor from 1977, 1981 and 1985... and did many other things. He died yesterday. As a Democrat,  he was in favour of pro-gays and pro-lesbian rights. It is to be noted since today, the French 'Assemblée Nationale has said yes to homosexual marriage.

In 1989, Koch declared, "it happens that I'm a heterosexual" during a radio interview about a book he co-authored with Cardinal J. O'Connor. The interviewer wanted Koch to clarify his views on homosexuality relative to O'Connor.
Koch refused tocomment on his sexual history,and he wrote:
"What do I care? I'm 73 years old. I find it fascinating that people are interested in my sex life at age 73. It's rather complimentary! But as I say in my book, my answer to questions on this subject is simply "Fuck off." There have to be some private matters left."  At the same time, he supported death penalty and was a hawkish supporter of Israel. He crossed party lines to endorse Rudi Giuliani for mayor in 1993, Michael Bloomberg in 2001, and George W. Bush in 2004. No extradition to the U.S. for Gary McKinnon, a U.K. citizen. he was investigating the UFO subject from his mother's bedroom computer when he hacked into the US department computers. It took the US some time to detect the security breach, (Gary must be some hacker!)but when they did, they immediately required his extradition. Since then, his family and many people including my proud self have been fighting to avoid extradition and after ten exacting years,the right decision was taken. Poor Media Coverage

At about 11:05 a.m. of 9/22/2012, a 7.3-meter-long metal beam 30cm×20cm×7m weighing 470 kg was dropped into reactor #3 spent fuel pool at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant.The steel frame was , 470kg. It was dropped from South-East side. Workers were trying to extract cement wreckage which got into the spent fuel pool after a hydrogen explosion during the nuclear disaster of 2011. The crane boom accidentally pushed a metal beam into the pool from its casing, reports ITAR-TASS news agency. Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) which operates the nuclear plant, says it did not cause any breach in the cooling system, but could complicate further retrieval of spent nuclear rods.

And obviously, the ongoing crisis is still of major concern.Let us not forget. One and a half years have passed since the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Tokyo Electric Power Company has many problems to overcome before achieving its promise to decommission the crippled plant in about 40 years. TEPCO has been testing the spent fuel rods in the No.4 reactor pool over the past 2 months. The building structure at the No.4 reactor became fragile after the explosion and possibly unsustainable to more earthquakes in the future. TEPCO is preparing to remove the rods from the pool in December next year. But the debris scattered in the pool could hamper workers from taking them out. The operator also faces difficulty in handling the melted fuel in the No. 1 to No. 3 reactors. It hopes to fill water in the containment vessels to cool down the fuel and is now using endoscopes and robots to find cracks and holes in the vessels. But high-levels of radiation are disrupting these operations. TEPCO also wonders if it can secure enough workers for the next 5 years. It said it will see a shortage of workers unless it finds ways for them to avoid exposure to radiation. But the utility said apart from a few places in the plant, most areas now register radiation levels below 3 millisieverts per hour, compared with 100 millisieverts per hour soon after the accident.
